Yaaay!!! My Monki parcel has arrived ^_^ Can’t wait until summer to wear my new stonewashed, high-waisted 3/4 length jeans with the gorgeously ethnic clutch! And I bought a scarf that was on sale for those days when it still randomly decides to snow…
Well, it’s the 13th of February again, and we all know what that means - yes, that’s right people, tomorrow is Valentine’s day, the day we can all come together and celebrate the happiness we share with our loved ones. One of my favourite parts of this day is the giving of presents to the ones we love and seeing their faces light up when they open them. I can imagine that in the shops today is a mad scramble of people buying last-minutes presents, and I must admit that I am normally amongst them. However, this can be a problem if, like me, your job is seasonal and you’re broke over the winter months. Whilst mulling over this problem yesterday, something suddenly dawned on me - I love cake, my boyfriend loves cake, and I have a day off tomorrow! And just like that, an idea was born.
I looked up a recipe that I could easily adapt to suit my own personal taste, which I soon found on the BBC website, and having bought all the necessary ingredients, I began my cupcake making journey!

All set and ready to go!

Hmm, not sure this is supposed to look like scrambled eggs…

Oooh, the lovely postman paid me a surprise visit during my baking session to deliver a parcel from Urban Outfitters! Well worth the interruption :P

Back down to business, the mixture is looking slightly more hopeful…

Spooning the mixture into the tray! I think I may have overfilled them a bit… Oh well, we’ll just have to wait and see! Fingers crossed!

Experimenting with food colouring! I’m hoping this is going to create a successful marbled effect, and bearing in mind that I’ve never tried this before, it isn’t looking too bad at this point!

Eek! Bye bye my darlings x’/ It’s been nice knowing you…

Making buttercream icing whilst the cupcakes are being cremated in the oven. Why do I have to make such a mess?? I’m going to have such fun cleaning up afterwards…

Oops, I think I may have gone a bit overboard with the food colouring?

Hurrah! They survived ^_^ And they’re actually looking alright!! Let’s hope they taste nice as well…

Considering I forgot to buy a piping bag and had to improvise by cutting a hole in a sandwich bag, I think they look pretty good!

All iced up and ready to go! I can’t wait to see the look on his face, I hope he’s as happy with them as I am <3
And there we are my lovelies, a thoughtful, yet cheap, gift that any man or woman would be happy to receive and devour! Happy Valentine’s Day, everybody ^_^ <3
How I’m accessorising today! I loove my new bracelets from New Look, they go perfectly with my jeans, also from New Look, and my Vintage Diesel jumper x)
What I’m wearing today :) I’m so happy the snow has gone because now I can finally wear my Vans for the first time in months, teamed with leggings, but I’m still keeping warm, layering a gorgeous shirt from New Look with a vintage denim shirt and a reliable and cosy zip-through hoodie that is also from New Look, topped off with my favourite scarf from Fat Face!
I love finding an old gem in my wardrobe and discovering it’s right on trend! For example, this gorgeous vintage clutch is beautifully embellished, this season’s must-have style, straight from the catwalks! This little beauty is going to be accompanying me to Pizza Express tonight! <3
Eek!! Another fabulous find on Etsy.com… I absolutely adore the white embroidery detail on this gorgeous blue frock! And don’t get me started on how cute those sunglasses are. Pretty perfect really :’) <3

How cute are these 1970s vintage scalloped pumps I found on Etsy?! Gorgeous brick red colour and dainty detailing make these a to-die-for pair of shoes… In my humble opinion :P
Absolutely loving this outfit sported by Poppy Delevingne at London Fashion Week 2012, including Topshop’s trademark polka dot ankle grazers, gorgeous tweed scalloped blazer and Chanel shoulder bag, topped off with perfect statement lips and tousled hair! Wardrobe envy T_T
I absolutely LOOOVE these new Vans, designed in collaboration with Kenzo…. Going on my Christmas list? Check! <3
Oh em GEE! I am so jealous of this person… This is just the sort of outfit I love!! Those pleated shorts are to die for! I am so going to try and find some like that on eBay now ;) Petrol blue has become one of my favourite colours recently, weirdly enough, and the accessorising has been done down to a tee; I love the sunglasses, and also the way that she has picked up on the red from the shirt and emphasised it by wearing those pretty red wedges! Perfection ^_^ <3

Oh, the things I get up to whilst on the phone! I managed to fashion myself a little bracelet! It’s only on my fingers for demonstration purposes here. You can see I have an addiction to pastel colours!! ^_^ <3
This is an outfit I threw together from my wardrobe :) I actually got the woollen t-shirt from a charity shop! Don’t you just love finding great retro stuff in charity shops? I do! :P I can’t wait to put up more photos of some of my outfits! Check out some more in My Look Book <3
As you know, I love handmade things and vintage is my obsession and so having been recommended by my lovely sister to sell some of my handmade accessories and clothing on Etsy (like eBay but for handmade and vintage things), I did so straight away and here is the result! Check it out (by clicking the heading of this ^^) and let me know what you think and maybe even buy something! :-P Thank you! <3
Ugh, so gorgeous… T_T <3
